Banksia and Bees is a vibrant and celebratory artwork that draws inspiration from the stunning Banksia flowers found in the Margaret River region during the summer and early autumn. These flowers have many varieties named after the explorer Sir Joseph Banks, who gathered the first specimens in 1770 during his expedition with Captain Cook. These flowers serve as an important food source for bees.
